Set Up Guide

WELCOME TO THE COOL° SIDE

Hey, I'm Zach — founder of Mist Caddie.

I started this company because Arizona summers were getting the best of me on the golf course. Nothing I tried actually worked, so I built something that does!

What you're holding is the world's first misting fan designed to fit in a golf cart cup holder. I'm pumped you have one — and I want to make sure you get everything out of it.

This page covers setup, settings, care, and troubleshooting. Everything you need, all in one place.

Now let's get you out on the course.

4 SIMPLE STEPS TO STAY COOL

Step 1: Charge via USB-C before your round

1. Charge Up

Plug in via USB-C before your round. A full charge lasts 4+ hours on high — enough for 18 holes.

Step 2: Fill the bottle with water

2. Fill With Water

Remove the fan head and fill the bottle with cold water. Your cooling setup starts here.

Step 3: Twist the fan head onto the bottle

3. Twist On The Fan Head

Line it up like a lid and twist until snug. You're ready for mist + airflow.

Step 4: Drop it in the cup holder and enjoy

4. Drop In & Enjoy

Set it in the cup holder, turn it on, and stay cool all round long.

🧼 Care & Maintenance

Best Practices

  • Use clean or filtered water for best mist performance and to extend the life of the nozzle.
  • Only use water — avoid flavored drinks, sports drinks, alcohol, or anything else in the bottle.
  • Keep water away from the fan shroud and USB-C charging port.

Cleaning

  • If the nozzle becomes clogged, unscrew it and tap firmly on a hard surface several times to dislodge any blockage.
  • If using hard water, periodically soak the nozzle in white vinegar for 10–15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Hand wash the bottle with mild soap and warm water; rinse well.

Storage

  • Empty all water from the bottle after each use before storing.
  • For off-season storage, ensure the bottle is fully dry and store the unit assembled in a cool indoor location.
  • Do not store outdoors long term or leave in a hot car for extended periods.

🔧 Troubleshooting

  • Mist is weak or not spraying
Unscrew the mist nozzle and tap on a hard surface to clear any blockage. If using hard water, soak in white vinegar (see Care & Maintenance).
  • Fan not turning on
Charge the unit fully before first use. Press the fan button once and wait 15 seconds.
  • Mist getting me too wet
Switch to 4S-4S or 4S-10S for intermittent cooling instead of Constant.
  • Mist drains faster than expected
Constant mist is great for short bursts of high-powered cooling. Switch to 4S-4S or 4S-10S to extend your run time.
  • Fan runs but no mist is coming out
Confirm water is in the bottle. Confirm the mist button has been pressed and a setting is active.
  • Mist nozzle is leaking or dripping
Ensure the nozzle is fully screwed in and clean. If the issue persists, swap in the included spare nozzle.
  • Unit won't turn on after long storage
The battery may have fully discharged. Charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on.
